You play as Michael Davis a 34 year old IT administrator working for a large accounting firm. Michael has never dated or had any romantic relationship,
of any kind. Not because he wasn't interested but because his life goals were always focused elsewhere, like work or study....
However due to the constant pestering of his childhood friend Penelope, Michael is now, for the first time, considering if he should try to engage. Penelope has encouraged Michael to downloaded a dating app . All the while fate has made it so that many beautiful woman have started coming into Michael's life...
Is Penelope right, is it time to try something new?
PLEASE NOTE THIS GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT (i.e. early alpha) AND THE STORY IS NOT COMPLETE!
The game is by my rough estimate about 60% done.
This means that:
- images, sounds etc. may change.
- Not all girls have an H scene (5 6 out of 7 currently have one)
- The game's story may change due to feedback etc.
- For accessibility I've now made a web version but for best play experience I would recommend the download version
Love Interests:
The game currently includes 7 potential love interests:
Sarah
Sarah is Michael's new manager. A very successful business woman she has built a strong career in the finance world. Her beauty and manner is striking. Is a relationship possible with someone so professional?
Lucy
A brazen young woman who confronts Michael in the park. Is she just a punk looking to stir up trouble or is there more going on?
Penelope
Penelope is Michael childhood friend. She is always had the plan of action and Michael has followed along. Still she has always had Michael's back and genuinely cares for him. She is now worried that Michael may be getting lonely so has hooked him up on a dating app. Michael has never viewed her as anything but a friend but could that change?
Olivia
Michael's new mysterious neighbor. Michael has only just met her and while she seems nice, and is extraordinarily beautiful, it's not long before her.... activities... start to become a real hassle. How will Michael deal with this before this spiral out of control?
Rose
Michael's first match through the dating app. Rose is stunning and Michael is excited to go on his first date with her but things don't pan out exactly as planned. Does a rocky start mean there is no hope? Or will things just take time?
Fiona
Michael's second match through the dating app. She is a free spirit and her first message to Michael, talking about a spiritual connection she feels with him, makes him a bit wary. Is Michael right to judge her a bit suspiciously or is there really a connection between them that could introduce Michael to a whole new world?

A mysterious woman who stands behind the scenes in Michael's office. Can Michael somehow find out about her and arrange an unforgettable encounter?

Opening to Love is a short eroge visual novel (currently approximately 1 hour of gameplay) which contains:

Progress and General Project Info
This is a solo project where I have attempted to improve past my initial project i.e. from a short Quiz game to a short visual novel. All the coding and story were done by me. Sounds, music and graphics were either freely available assets or assets I generated from stable diffusion offline and edited (please view the about/credits page in the game's settings for a full listing).
As this is a hobby project I will not be working on this at a scheduled pace. I am really hoping to gauge if this is something people are interested in and to get some feedback. Because of this I have not created a Patreon or any other funding page but may do so if there is demand.
As an eroge I plan to have multiple H-Scenes (maybe 2?) for each girl. Below is the current progress of H-scenes per girl:

Other potential improvement and updates
- Re-balancing or reconsidering mini games. I have found this aspect to be tricky with the mini-games have variable difficulty based on the device being used. I'm looking for feedback to see if this is an enjoyable part of the game.
- Image gallery (the bones are there thanks to the wonderful Pink-Black Ren'py GUI by Skolaztika but I need to put some work into making it work for the game).
- Android version of the game.

There's no way to turn off the music? That's unfortunate.
Hi, unfortunately I am using a pre-made GUI and it doesn't have an Off or On toggle for music...
There is a music volume slider in the options menu though and on testing I've found that if you lower that completely the music is effectively muted so hopefully that could be a work around.
I really liked it! The writing near the end felt a bit sloppier than the rest of the game, mostly on grammar, but I liked the overall game!
I honestly had a lot of fun finding the secret character, and once I find out it's quite obvious! I hope you keep adding secret stuff like it.
Thank you for you feedback. I will work on tidying up the grammar for the next update. Unfortunately, probably against best practice, I write directly in engine so I don't have the most robust grammar tools to keep me in check and I think I might have rushed a bit in the end to make the first release...

If you overlook the AI aspect, the game is actually quite good. It’s clear the creator put in much more effort than just generating a bunch of images. I’d like to see more femdom and it would be great if the number of QTEs was reduced by 10-15%. Thank you, looking forward to more!
Thank you for your support and feedback, it's much appreciated! A bit more femdom is something I will consider. I agree with the QTEs and am thinking I will reduce in the next update. I put a high target number in the karaoke scene simply because I like the feeling of the QTE play building along with the music track, which I just generally like to listen to, but yeah I think it's too much...
Is the MC name set, or can you rename him?
At the moment the MC name is set. I did this because I thought it might be better to create a set character with a distinct personality. Also, giving a bit away here, but there is a mechanic in the game where you can type in names to get more information, so I need set names for that. That being said I did introduce a choose your own name system in my last game so I could definitely do it here. The above type in mechanic only applies to last names at the moment so I could have a mass effect style system where you can choose the first name but not the last, or I could have the player pick first and last names separately... Anyway I will consider it and will to see if there is any more feedback on this.
Choosing first name only is a pretty common way of solving that issue you mention that I've seen used in other AVNs, so if that is an option that'd be awesome.

Thanks for the question. TBH I came into the game planning to make something fairly vanilla. I found that with eroge there wasn't a lot of games with just vanilla relationships with career aged women so that's what I've tried to make. That being said I'm still considering what might be good. Here is a basic sum of some of my initial thoughts on those tags:

Yeah tbh think I probably screwed up my understanding on the tags for this comment. Scene I am thinking of is FFM threesome with MC. There won't be any cuckold/cheating stuff in the game. Not making a statement on that fetish generally (you do yo) just that I don't think it would suit the game and it's not something I'm interested in making.
